Experience in Commercial Plumbing is preferred. You will be assisting a Journeyman Plumber. Must be able to lift 80 pounds, willing to work hard and learn. Must have basic plumbing tools and apprentice license.

Job Duties:

Job Duties:

SSP Industries is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for the operation of Excavators and/or Wheel loaders, for our underground utility division. Must be dependable and have experience. Operate equipment safety and follow the company safety guidelines. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Knowledge and ability to safely operate backhoe, 315 and 336 size excavators. • Knowledge and ability to safely operate Backhoe wheel loader, Second Compactor for our underground utility division. • Weekly overtime pay is standard for a typical work week of 50 hours at a minimum. You will typically have your weekends free as we seldom work on Saturdays. Company vehicle available, or a vehicle allowance, for key personnel.

Job Duties:

SSP Industries, LP in Killeen, Tx. is looking for a Utility Crew Supervisor for our underground utility division. This position is responsible for supervising the day to day operations, planning, communications, leadership and job completion of assigned projects. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Planning and scheduling of the work for your assigned project. 2. Ordering and organizing materials, subcontractors, equipment and labor. 3. Verifying, marking and maintaining locates. 4. Providing all required job reporting. 5. Completing as-builts and redlines. 6. Actively participating in and taking responsibility for execution of SSP’s safety program. 7. Communicating and coordinating with SSP project management. 8. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

The successful applicant should possess the following qualifications: 1. Good experience supervising a utility crew installing and repairing underground water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and natural gas lines and structures. Experience with the construction of small lift stations is a plus. a. Able to read, comprehend and implement plans and specifications. b. Able to calculate, shoot grades, slopes and elevations. Utilize levels and lasers. c. Able to perform density-controlled compaction for subgrades and backfill materials. d. Able to operate equipment utilized for the installation of underground utilities such as excavators, backhoes and wheel loaders. e. Able to train others to install underground utilities. f. Minimum 3 to 5 year’s experience as a utility supervisor is preferred. 2. Exhibit excellent technical knowledge of the installation, maintenance and repair of underground utilities. 3. Willing to promote, execute and adhere to SSP’s safety program. 4. Obtain OSHA 30-hour training certification (unless already holds this certification). 5. Participate as a vital team member to contribute to the success of the company including supporting other supervisors as needed. Job Duties:

An employee in this position performs work involving ordering, tracking, and following material deliveries to completion. Working with the vendors, and field staff on material orders. Tracking all small assets, vehicle, and equipment logs. Assisting the warehouse manager in any additional task needed.

Requirements:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Orders, Tracks, and follows through with continuous material to and from the job sites. Communicates with the vendors regarding material orders, backorders, and deliveries. Communicates with field personal regarding the material order status and delivery dates. Communicates directly with PMs daily / as needed. Maintains accurate material records in tracking system. Responsible for receiving and tracking all vehicle and equipment reports from field, to include collaborating with the fields workers to ensure reports are turned in weekly. Accurately track all active rental equipment, sanitary facilities and safety items on the Killeen and San Antonio job sites. Accurately track SSP assets such as small tools and small equipment, while maintaining an asset tracking log. Recognize and report damaged or missing assets. Maintain accurate logs of equipment, vehicle, maintenance, and rentals. Responsible for compiling weekly and monthly reports to management on all vehicles, equipment, assets, and rentals. Receive and process all incoming orders to the warehouse Assist in maintaining organization in the warehouse office and shop areas. Dusts and clean desks and other furniture in office. Sweeps and mops floor surfaces in office. Assisting the warehouse manager in any additional tasks as needed.
